RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) — North Carolina women's basketball coach Sylvia Hatchell has resigned after an external review found she had made "racially insensitive" comments and pressured players to compete through medical issues. The school issued a release late Thursday night announcing the Hall of Famer's resignation and findings from the review conducted by a Charlotte-based law firm.

RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) — The list of proven quarterbacks in the Atlantic Coast Conference is short. In fact, it basically starts and ends with Clemson's Trevor Lawrence. Ten schools faced questions of varying degrees of urgency at QB this spring. Eight lost a starter from last year, a group that combined for nearly 17,000 yards passing and 107 touchdowns last season. With roughly four months until the season starts, only a handful of schools seem to have solidified their quarterback situations.

RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) — Lehigh's Pat Andree is headed North Carolina State as a graduate transfer for next season. In a social media post, the 6-foot-8, 225-pound forward said he will graduate in May then join Kevin Keatts' Wolfpack squad. N.C. State is losing leading scorer Torin Dorn and starting big man Wyatt Walker, while junior point guard Markell Johnson has declared for the NBA draft but has left open the possibility of returning to school.
