NEW ORLEANS (AP) — The Saints and the Rams meet in New Orleans today to determine who will represent the NFC in the Super Bowl. The matchup of 14-3 teams pits record-setting New Orleans quarterback Drew Brees, who turned 40 on Tuesday, against 24-year-old Rams signal caller Jared Goff is 24. Since Brees and coach Sean Payton joined forces in 2006, the Saints have gone 6-0 in playoff games in the Superdome, including two wins the season they won the Super Bowl.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — Two star quarterbacks battle for supremacy in the AFC when the Kansas City Chiefs host the New England Patriots tonight. Tom Brady and the Patriots will be playing in their eighth consecutive conference championship game, hoping for a third straight trip to the Super Bowl. Record-setting young quarterback Patrick Mahomes is hoping to lead the Chiefs to their first Super Bowl appearance in 49 years. The Patriots beat the Chiefs in a 43-40 shootout in Week 6.

MELBOURNE, Australia (AP) — Roger Federer's bid for a third consecutive Australian Open title has ended. The oldest player left in the tournament lost to the youngest, 20-year-old Stefanos Tsitsipas, 6-7, 7-6, 7-5, 7-6, who becomes the first player from Greece to reach the quarterfinals at a major.

MELBOURNE, Australia (AP) — Unseeded American Danielle Collins has advanced to the quarterfinals of the Australian Open with an upset win over Angelique Kerber. Collins stunned the three-time major champion 6-0, 6-2 in just 56 minutes. She will face another unseeded player, Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova of Russia, who beat fifth-seeded American Sloane Stephens 6-7, 6-3, 6-3, in a match that lasted 2½ hours and finished at nearly 2 a.m.

MELBOURNE, Australia (AP) — Frances Tiafoe (tee-AH'-foh) celebrated his 21st birthday with a 7-5, 7-6, 6-7, 7-5 win over No. 20-seeded Grigor Dimitrov (GREE'-gohr DIH'-mih-trahv) at the Australian Open. The American advanced to his first Grand Slam quarterfinal, where he will face second-seeded Rafael Nadal.
