WEYMOUTH, Mass. (AP) — The Latest on the fatal shooting of a bystander and police officer in Massachusetts following a vehicle crash and foot chase. (all times local):

The governor of Massachusetts says he's saddened to learn of the deaths of a local police officer and a bystander who were shot following a vehicle crash and foot chase.
Authorities say Weymouth officer Michael Chesna was shot multiple times Sunday morning and later died.
Republican Gov. Charlie Baker says the state is "forever grateful for the courageous men and women" who risk their lives to serve and protect communities.
Officials say an unidentified woman also died after being hit by stray bullets in a nearby home.
Weymouth Police Chief Richard Grimes has identified the shooting suspect as Emanuel Lopes, and says he's in custody.
Police say Lopes crashed a car and attacked Chesna with a stone. Chesna fell to the ground, and officials say, Lopes took the officer's gun and shot Chesna multiple times.

A Massachusetts police officer and bystander have died from wounds sustained when a suspect allegedly took the officer's gun and fired following a vehicle crash and a foot chase.
Authorities say Weymouth officer Michael Chensa was shot multiple times before 8 a.m. Sunday, and died from the injures at a hospital.
Officials say an unidentified elderly woman also died after being hit by stray bullets in a nearby home.
Weymouth Police Chief Richard Grimes identified the shooting suspect as Emanuel Lopes, and said he was in custody.
Police say the suspect crashed a car, fled the scene, and attacked Chesna with a stone. Chesna fell to the ground, and officials say, Lopes took the officer's gun and shot Chesna multiple times.
Lopes then fled and fired more shots during a chase. Police say some of those shots fatally struck the woman. Lopes suffered a leg wound.

Authorities say the Weymouth officer was shot before 8 a.m. Sunday, and the officer's injuries have been described as "life-threatening." He is being treated at South Shore Hospital.
State police detectives and prosecutors from the Norfolk District Attorney's Office say a shooting suspect is in custody.
Neighbors say the suspect had been driving erratically as officers tried to pull him over. Witnesses say the man crashed into another car, fled on foot and then shot the officer. Several bullets hit a nearby home.
Several officers are at the scene at Burton Terrace where the shooting took place.
An investigation is ongoing.
