BLUFFDALE — Crews are responding to a 7-acre fire at Camp Williams, officials said Monday afternoon.

The Utah National Guard first reported about the fire shortly after 12 p.m. The fire started at 11 a.m. and "does not appear to be spreading very quickly with current weather conditions," the national guard said on Twitter.

As of 1 p.m., the fire had been reduced to a few active flames, and fire breaks were containing the flames, the national guard said.

Fire crews from Unified Fire Authority responded to the scene, according to the national guard.

The national guard also said UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters could be dipping from Jordan River and flying low over Redwood Road. As of 1 p.m., the air assets were on standby, the national guard said.
