SPANISH FORK — A fire destroyed a long abandoned granary in Spanish Fork on Friday, officials said.

The granary, a local landmark known as Andersen Tower, was a total loss, Spanish Fork Police Sgt. Clay Hooley said.

The tower was located near 1400 W. 100 South and Hooley said officials didn’t yet know what caused the flames.

The fire was extinguished by Friday evening and no injuries were reported, he said.
