SALT LAKE CITY — A Salt Lake man with a history of exposing himself in public places has been arrested again.
Darrell Keith Johnson, 44, was charged Thursday in Murray Justice Court with lewdness, a class B misdemeanor. The charge comes just two days after Johnson was charged with the same crime in the same court for a separate case, according to court records.
He currently faces charges or is under investigation for lewdness in at least six separate cases.
On Sept. 18, Johnson was arrested for exposing himself near the Murray City Council chambers at Murray City Hall, according to a police affidavit.
That incident came a day after Johnson was seen exposing himself near Intermountain Medical Center in Murray, the report states.
On Sept. 11, Johnson was arrested for investigation of lewdness for exposing himself to hospital staff in the sky bridge at Primary Children’s Hospital in Salt Lake City, according to a separate affidavit.
On Aug. 6, Johnson was arrested for investigation of lewdness outside an apartment complex near 158 N. Main in Salt Lake City, according to a third police affidavit.
After his recent arrests, it was discovered that Johnson also had outstanding warrants for prior lewdness cases.
He was charged with lewdness in September 2014 in Salt Lake County Justice Court. A warrant was issued in 2015 when he failed to appear for a court hearing.
Johnson was also charged with lewdness in August of 2015. A warrant was also issued in that case.
In May 2014, Johnson pleaded guilty in West Valley Justice Court to lewdness. And in 2001 he was charged with lewdness in Midvale Justice Court, but the case was dismissed two years later when, according to court records, Johnson was being treated at Valley Mental Health and was expected to be there “for an extended period of time.”
