PARK CITY — Seven people from Weber and Davis counties have been charged and a reward has been offered for information leading to more arrests in connection with a jewelry store burglary in April, police said Friday.
Roberto Balli, 51, of Ogden; Jessica Jensen, 28, of Ogden; Russell Miller, 29, of Ogden; Michael Thorpe, 32, of Roy; Keira Baldwin, 33, of Ogden; Bryce Talbot, 32, of Clinton; and Trina Sosa, 33, of Ogden were all charged in connection with this case, Park City Police Capt. Phil Kirk said in a statement.
All seven individuals possessed items that were stolen during the April 27 burglary, but none of the arrests were related to the burglary itself, police said.
“The seven suspects were identified as being in possession of the stolen merchandise and selling it to other accomplices, pawnshops or through online classified apps,” Kirk said in the statement.
Court records show:
- Balli was charged in 2nd District Court with theft by receiving stolen property, a third-degree felony, on July 11.
- Jensen was charged in 2nd District Court with theft by receiving stolen property, a second-degree felony, and theft by deception, a class B misdemeanor, on June 28.
- Miller was charged in 2nd District Court with forgery and identity fraud, each third-degree felonies, and theft by deception, a class B misdemeanor, on June 14. On July 9, he pleaded guilty to forgery; the theft by deception charge was dropped and the identity fraud charge was amended to a class A misdemeanor.
- Thorpe was charged in 2nd District Court with theft by receiving stolen property, a second-degree felony, on June 28.
- Baldwin was charged in 2nd District Court with theft by receiving stolen property, a third-degree felony, on May 31.
- Talbot was charged in 2nd District Court with theft by receiving stolen property, a second-degree felony, as well as theft by deception and forgery, each third-degree felonies, on July 10.
- Sosa was charged in 2nd District Court with theft by receiving stolen property, a second-degree felony, on July 11. A warrant was issued for her arrest that same day.
Police have since recovered about $31,000 worth of stolen property, Kirk said.
It wasn’t clear how many more individuals were involved, and police said there is a $3,500 reward for any information leading to further arrests and convictions of anyone associated with the burglary.
