RANDLETT, Uintah County — The Duchesne River was on flood warning Tuesday afternoon after water levels were less than half a foot away from reaching the flooding stage.

The river reached levels of 13.2 feet Tuesday at noon and flood stage occurs at 13.3 feet, Uintah County Emergency Management announced Tuesday via Facebook.

Minor flooding which would inundate fields and lowland along the river southeast of Randlett was forecasted, according to the post.

Private bridges and irrigations works were at risk for experiencing damage, the post continued, and water was also expected to rise near the base of the Red Bridge in Randlett.

Last week, the river was on flood watch according to the National Weather Service. According to the post, the water is comparable to June of 2011 when the river reached 14.4 feet.
