SALT LAKE CITY — Flooding impacted several roadways as the rain continued to fall Friday in the Salt Lake area.
Deep water was covering the road on 3300 South at 400 West, according to the Utah Department of Transportation. Both directions were being affected, and people were being asked to take an alternate route. The road has since dried and was reported safe to drive through, according to UDOT spokesman Austin Clark.

The TRAX S-Line was unable to proceed east from the Central Pointe station for just under two hours, Utah Transit Authority said on Twitter. A van bridge was shuttling people from the Central Pointe station to South Salt Lake, according to UTA.
As of 1:52 p.m., S-Line service had been restored and the van bridge was canceled, UTA said.

Rain is expected to come and go Friday in Salt Lake City, according to KSL Weather's Grant Weyman. The rain is expected to clear up Saturday.
