1. 2 rescued after being buried by 'extreme' avalanche in Cardiff Fork

Six people were caught in an "extreme" avalanche that carried them approximately 100 yards in Cardiff Fork Sunday afternoon. Two of them were buried up to their shoulders in snow for a period of time while the others dug them out and called for help.

2. Utah GOP Congress members hail Mueller conclusion that Trump didn't conspire with Russians

Utah Republican members of Congress hailed special counsel Robert Mueller's conclusion Sunday that Donald Trump's presidential campaign didn't conspire with the Russian government to interfere in the 2016 election.

3. Men file grievance against Utah city after boss who pointed a gun at them is reinstated

Attorneys have filed a formal grievance on behalf of two Hyde Park employees who quit their jobs after their supervisor pointed a gun at them during a meeting and was demoted, but was later reinstated to his position.

4. Police shoot, injure man involved in alleged domestic dispute in Northern Utah

Police shot a man Saturday who wouldn't comply with orders after they were called to a home near 2510 N. Charleston Ave. in Harrisville on a report of a domestic disturbance.

5. Midvale City Council adds 1,000 housing new units to 'Jordan Bluffs' plan amid uproar from residents

The Midvale City Council agreed to push forward an amended high-density housing plan that would add 1,000 more housing units to a swath of land known as “Jordan Bluffs,” where 2,500 units were already proposed.

1. BYU women hold off Auburn, 73-64 for first NCAA tourney win since 2014

Brenna Chase had 19 points, seven assists and three blocked shots, and Caitlyn Alldredge supplied a career-high 14 points and three assists to help BYU hold on for a 73-64 win over 10th-seeded Auburn in the NCAA women’s basketball tournament in Stanford, California.

Shaylee Gonzales added 17 points, nine rebounds and three assists for the Cougars (26-6), who will face No. 2-seeded Stanford in Monday’s second round.

2. Jazz run the Bulls in Chicago

Rudy Gobert smashed a Kris Dunn shot off the backboard that set off a dazzling fast break. The ball bounced to Jae Crowder, who flicked it behind his back up court to Joe Ingles. Ingles quickly bounced it to a sprinting Donovan Mitchell, who finished it off with a high-flying ferocious slam as the Bulls defenders helplessly watched on.

That play just about summed up how things went Saturday at the United Center. The Jazz indeed put a whack on the Bulls, beating Chicago 114-83 to finish off their four-game Eastern Conference road swing. Utah improved to 43-30 on the season and have won six of its last seven games.

3. MyKayla Skinner scores 10.0, Red Rocks place 2nd at Pac-12 Championship with season-best effort

It was the first time this season that Utah gymnastics didn’t score in the 197s. Instead, the Red Rocks accelerated to a season-high 198.025. It wasn’t enough to win the Pac-12 Championship, but it shows promise as Utah enters the postseason.

4. Washington locks down Utah State 78-61 in first NCAA tourney appearance since 2011

Utah State’s first NCAA Tournament in nearly a decade has come to an end.

The Aggies’ run was locked down by a pervasive defense, as Washington defeated Utah State 78-61 in the first round Friday evening at Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio.

5. Phoenix Suns sign Jimmer Fredette through rest of season

Jimmer Fredette is back in the NBA.

The Phoenix Suns signed Fredette for the rest of the season Friday with a team option for 2019-20.
