HOLLADAY — Police released the identity of a man two days after finding him dead and naked in a Holladay park Wednesday.

Devin O'Donnell, 72, was found in Big Cottonwood Park near 4720 South and 1590 East after a man walking his dog discovered the body Wednesday morning about 7:30 a.m., Unified Police Sgt. Melody Gray said.

"The dog started barking and the man followed him into the trees where he found this body," she said.

By Wednesday evening, police had "exhausted all leads" in trying to determine O'Donnell's identity and asked for the public's help, Gray said. O'Donnell did not have identification on him at the time of his death. They posted pictures of the man and a unique ring found on his finger.

Police were originally investigating O'Donnell's death as suspicious but have since said the circumstances of his passing are "not of a suspicious nature" — though the cause is still unknown.
