RIVERDALE — A Roy City Police patrol car was struck by an allegedly drunk driver overnight Friday.
The officer was assisting with a traffic accident at I-84 and Riverdale Road when the female driver struck his car, the department announced via Facebook.
The patrol car sustained significant damage, but the officer was not in the vehicle at the time it was hit. The female driver was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.
Utah Highway Patrol is investigating.
