SALT LAKE CITY — A portion of I-215 will be closed Sunday as crews repair a damaged section of the road.
Westbound lanes of the I-215 east belt between Foothill Drive and the I-80 junction will be closed from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, according to an emailed statement from Utah Department of Transportation spokesman John Gleason.
Crews will be repairing a part of the road that was damaged by a water line leak, Gleason said.
Drivers headed to I-80 westbound will detour off the freeway at Parleys Way, and can again access I-80 from 1300 East, according to Gleason. Eastbound I-80 access from I-215 will not be affected by the closure, Gleason said.
