LEHI — A St. George man was arrested Thursday in connection with the alleged rape of a 15-year-old girl near a high school in 2017, according to a jail report.

Peter Aron Songmow, 20, was booked into Utah County Jail for investigation of rape and forcible sodomy.

In January 2017, a man took the teen to a secluded area near Skyridge High School, 3000 N. Center, and pushed her up against the building, according to the report filed by Lehi police. The teen "protested and said to stop and pushed Peter away," according to the report, but he pushed her against the building "even harder" before he raped her, the report states.

According to the report, at some point the teen experienced "significant pain," and "cried out in pain." After the alleged incident, "Peter walked away leaving the female alone to care for herself,” the report stated.

The teen said the man approached her again at the high school in March 2017 and "told her to come with him," according to the report. She "protested that she didn't want to," the report said. The man, who the report states was in a relationship with one of the teen's friends, told her "if she did not go with him he would tell his girlfriend what they had done," police wrote in the report. He took her to a "secluded area" and forced her to perform oral sex on him, the report added.

“The victim recalled the strength of Peter from the first sexual assault and was afraid of what he would do if she made Peter mad,” police wrote in the report.

Lehi police received an initial report from the Division of Child and Family Services, the report stated. Court records show Songmow has no previous criminal history in Utah.

Jail records show Songmow is being held on $50,000 bail.
