YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK, Wyo. (AP) — Some roads and services in Yellowstone National Park will open for the new season on Friday — weather permitting.
In celebration of National Park Week, entrance fees will be waived on Saturday.
The roads opening to vehicles on Friday include the West Entrance to Old Faithful, Mammoth Hot Springs to Old Faithful via Norris and Norris to Canyon Village. The roads are closed during the winter to wheeled vehicles.
About 4 million people visited Yellowstone last year. The vast majority of people visit the park during the summer months.
