Man missing in Kane County found safe

KANE COUNTY — A Kane County search and rescue member who did not return home Saturday was found safe Sunday evening, officials report.

Paul Torgersen was reported missing after leaving home around 2 p.m. Saturday and not returning, according to Kane County Search and Rescue.

Shortly before 6:30 p.m. Sunday, crews reported Torgersen was located and safe, according to a Facebook post from the agency.

"Thanks for everyone's help and assistance," the post read.

Earlier Sunday, Torgersen’s family said he has some health issues and didn’t take his medication.

Information about where Torgersen was found was not immediately available.
