GOING THE EXTRA MILE FOR SHRINERS HOSPITAL 1,000 patients, Shriners and community supporters “Walk & Roll for LOVE” to help children with orthopedic conditions.

WHAT:
Patients will band together with their families, Shriners and community supporters to raise money and awareness for the Shriners Hospitals for Children — Salt Lake City 4th Annual “Walk & Roll for LOVE.” For participants with orthopaedic conditions, the 1.5 mile journey is a welcomed challenge to show off their ability, despite physical challenges. It all culminates with Family Fest – a party to celebrate participants, complete with rock climbing, teddy bear clinic, carnival games, a DJ and more. The party doubles as a safety event offering scoliosis checks and information about the hospital’s special needs car seat clinic.

About 1,000 people are expected to attend together raising $50,000 toward the hospital’s mission of providing care regardless of a family’s ability to pay. The event is open to the public with online registration open through Thursday, Sept. 13 at www.walkforlove.org. Day-of walk-up registrations also accepted.
