Construction group helps woman keep her home after fire

Michelle H.

"A woman living off of 2700 South in Salt Lake had a fire last year in her kitchen. The city said the home needed to be torn down and rebuilt but the insurance would only cover damages. She was going to be homeless. A local construction group fought for her right to keep her home pro bono for nearly five months. They finally won and have helped her restore her home. It is nearly finished and the community is coming together to support her and help with additional repairs."

Lost package turns up at honest stranger's house

JustChris

"Last week, my very expensive, highly anticipated package was delivered to the wrong address. There likely wouldn't have been any way to trace it back to the person who received it, but she did the honest thing and called the phone number I put on the shipping label. I was able to quickly pick up the package. I offered her a reward and she refused. Her honesty made my day!"

Wallet gets returned with nothing missing

A.L.M.

"In the last two years I have left my wallet twice in a store, once in the restroom and once in a cart (it's easier to do this than you think when juggling kids and groceries!). Both times someone turned them into the store manager with everything left inside. I was so grateful to the wonderful people who did the right thing! Utah isn't perfect and not everyone is honest, but I think most people here are good people whose hearts are in the right place."
