STREAM TOWN — October has come and gone and it’s now November. With the eleventh month of the year, we get Thanksgiving, cooler weather, possible snow and a new batch of streaming titles for our viewing pleasure.

Netflix is dropping a lot of original fare in November, while other streaming platforms seem to have some familiar favorites up their sleeves, including a lot of James Bond. Like, a whole lot of James Bond.

Here are the best new streaming titles for November:

Netflix

“Good Will Hunting” (Nov. 1)

Before Matt Damon was Jason Bourne and the term Batfleck existed there was “Good Will Hunting.” The Boston-based drama stars Damon and Ben Affleck in a well-told story of a genius that is living among us and never took himself to the next level.

The film is expertly written and won Damon and Affleck an Academy Award for their work on the script. The late Robin Williams also won an Oscar for his performance in the film.

“Good Will Hunting” is rated R for strong language, including some sex-related dialogue.

“Close Encounters of the Third Kind” (Nov. 1)

The 1977 Steven Spielberg classic “Close Encounters of the Third Kind” can now be experienced on Netflix.

The film stars Richard Dreyfuss as an electric lineman who watches how his world turns upside down after a close encounter with a UFO. The film is cerebral and well acted. The film oozes classic Spielberg, which is a good thing.

I remember being entranced by this film as a kid and look forward to getting a different take on it as an adult.

“House of Cards: Season 6” (Nov. 2)

The Netflix original series “House of Cards” has been a cultural phenomenon and won a Golden Globe for best drama series and also won the now-embattled star Kevin Spacey the award for best actor in a drama series.

“House of Cards” was riding high when news about the allegations against Spacey emerged and many wondered what would happen with the acclaimed series. Well, now we get to find out.

The sixth and final season is now available on Netflix without Spacey, and it will be interesting to see how the writers have removed Spacey’s Frank Underwood and how they continue and end the series.

James Bond collection (Nov. 1)

That’s right, 19 James Bond films are headed to Hulu in November. Are all of them great? Not at all. Are they all Bond films so it doesn’t matter? Yes.

The bond films coming to Hulu include: “Diamonds are Forever,” “Die Another Day,” “Dr. No,” “For Your Eyes Only,” “From Russia With Love,” “Goldeneye,” “Goldfinger,” “License to Kill,” “Live and Let Die,” “The Living Daylights,” “The Man With the Golden Gun,” “Moonraker,” “Never Say Never Again,” “On Her Majesty’s Secret Service,” “The Spy Who Loved Me,” “Thunderball,” “Tomorrow Never Dies,” “The World is Not Enough” and “You Only Live Twice."

When I was a child TBS used to have James Bond marathons for the entire weekend, and I have fond memories of sitting on the couch with my dad and watching 007 foil an evil villain's plan to take over the world. Now you get to enjoy hours and hours of over-the-top campiness with the world’s swankiest spy.

“Wonder” (Nov. 2)

One of the best films to come out of 2017 was the family film “Wonder.” The movie is based on the book of the same name and tells the story of August, a young boy with facial differences attending a public elementary school for the first time.

The movie follows August and his family as they navigate life and everything that comes with it. The movie is funny, heartwarming and the epitome of feel-good cinema. It’s an amazing film to watch as a family with loads of entertainment and some great lessons.

“The Adventures of Tintin” (Nov. 1)

Here’s another Spielberg film for you, “The Adventures of Tintin.” This 2011 animated feature didn’t do as well at the box office as the filmmakers had hoped, but it’s actually a pretty fun family adventure and makes for a solid family movie night.

The film feels almost like a cousin to an Indiana Jones film with solving puzzles, tracking clues and fending off bad guys.
