AIR DRUM HALL OF FAME — I want all of you to do something for me.
Think of a song that for whatever reason the moment it comes you start tapping your feet and nodding your head and before you know it, you’re rocking out like no one’s watching. Go ahead think of that song.
That song for one Ravens fan is “Tom Sawyer” by Rush. I have to give it to him; it’s a solid choice.
This video was taken during a Baltimore Ravens game when “Tom Sawyer” started blasting through the speakers. In the video, the fan lets the tune sink into his soul and before you know it he’s channeling his best Neil Peart impression and playing the air drums with finesse and style. I’d love to get this guy in front of a real drum set and see what he can do.
Yesterday's Have You Seen This?
Peart is known for his insanely complicated and involved drum riffs and solos and his work on the track “Tom Sawyer” is no different, but the difficulty is no problem for this air drum aficionado. I think we have found the Neil Peart of imaginary drum kits.
The best part is the fact that this guy doesn’t care who’s watching or paying attention. He’s just living life and enjoying some Rush. Then the song ends, the music fades and apparently so does his happiness as he just stares off into the distance imagining what could have been had he decided to chase his dream of becoming a drummer instead of getting his C.P.A.
Kidding, I have no idea what this guy does for a living, but I do know he plays some mean air drums.
