SALT LAKE CITY — A show that took Salt Lake City by storm in 2018 will return to the Eccles Theater in time for Christmas.

“Hamilton: An American Musical” is among seven season offerings coming to Broadway at the Eccles in the 2020-21 season.

Lin-Manuel Miranda’s Pulitzer Prize-winning musical will have a monthlong run in Salt Lake City.

The season subscriber lineup also includes “Mean Girls,” “The Band’s Visit,” “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory,” “Ain’t Too Proud: The Life and Times of the Temptations,” “Jesus Christ Superstar,” and “To Kill a Mockingbird.”

Two classic musicals are also returning to Salt Lake City as season add-ons: “Chicago,” and “Les Misérables.”

“Thirty years after making its Salt Lake City debut on our very first season, ‘Les Miz’ is still Utah’s favorite musical,” said Bruce Granath, vice president of the Mountain Region of Broadway Across America.
